An app designed for curious minds ; a space to explore art movements, discover artists, and build a personal relationship with art history.
The challenge was to make a dense cultural subject feel accessible, warm, and alive on a small screen.
Concept
The brief was simple: create a mobile experience that guides users through the history of art without overwhelming them. The navigation is structured around four pillars : artists, movements, works, and readings. Each feeding into the other to encourage exploration overconsumption.
Visual Direction
The palette leans on a mix of playful colours against warm off-whites, creating energy without aggression. Typography is set with editorial confidence, letting the artwork breathe while keeping the interface clearly readable. Every colour choice was deliberate : vibrant enough to reflect the subject matter, controlled enough to serve the content.
UI Design
The home screen personalises the experience immediately, leading with a daily artwork and a curated discovery section. Profile and progress tracking add a layer of engagement. Each screen was designed with hierarchy in mind: the art comes first, the interface supports it.
